About

The  fifth edition of the International Conference Energy Fuels Environment EFE 2024 will be held 26-28 June 2024 in Krakow, Poland.
The Conference proceedings: oral presentations and poster sessions will be conducted at the AGH University of Krakow.

Registration and abstract submission deadline extended to 19 May 2024

The goal of the fifth International Conference Energy Fuel Environment 2024 (EFE 2024), organised by AGH University of Krakow and Cracow Technology University (PK) is to raise awareness of interdisciplinary challenges in fuels and energy on the international forum, with a special focus on hydrogen as a clean and sustainable energy carrier.
Additionally, the Conference will focus on environmental issues, with particular emphasis on the identification of new pollutants and the development of advanced monitoring methods. It will contribute to a comprehensive discussion on energy system development prospects, sustainable energy solutions and environmental management.

Environmental Session – Coordinator: Professor Katarzyna Styszko

Nuclear Energy and Radiochemistry Session – Coordinators: Dr. Ing. Paweł Gajda and Professor Katarzyna Szarłowicz

Focusing on nuclear energy for its potential role in providing stable and low-emission energy, this session will cover technological aspects, safety, and future prospects in this sector. Presentations on radiochemistry will consider its crucial role in nuclear energy processes, including fuel cycle analysis, radioactive waste management, and innovations in radiochemical research methods. Monitoring, Diagnostics and Improving the Efficiency of Energy Equipment – Coordinators: Professor Piotr Dzierwa and Professor Marcin Trojan

The session will focus on monitoring the operation and increasing energy efficiency, district heating and industrial systems. The discussion will revolve around issues related to the diagnostics of energy systems, particularly concerning the detection, prediction and prevention of failures. The session will also address issues related to extending lifetime and improving the efficiency of power equipment, including waste heat.
